English Language Arts Work

Wednesday, September 9th, 2017

Today we also worked on some language arts work. We did a lesson on short and long vowel sounds in words and how to identify them. We did some activities in class that were very interactive and enjoyable for the students. We then completed this worksheet in class and they handed them in at the end of class for me to grade. This is to make sure they are grasping the concept, since it was a colouring activity they really seemed to enjoy it!

For extra practice on short and long vowel sounds, these worksheets below would be extremely useful.

  4. Well done Maggie!! I really enjoyed the layout and design of your blog. I really liked how you provided extra practice worksheets. I feel this is very beneficial for students who are struggling with the material and can assist them in grasping the material better. As well, I really like how you included a colouring activity. I feel many of your students will be engaged and interested in the material.
